This role will support the pricing, performance monitoring and strategic development of Delegated Authority business, partnering closely with underwriting teams and coverholders to drive profitable growth and enhance portfolio performance.  Key Responsibilities Provide actuarial pricing support for new and renewal Delegated Authority opportunities. Monitor portfolio performance and recommend actions to improve profitability. Collaborate with underwriters, coverholders and agents to enhance pricing methodologies and rating structures. Develop and maintain pricing models, forecasts and portfolio performance reporting. Deliver actuarial insight to support business planning, underwriting strategy and reserving activities. Present technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Support process improvement initiatives, pricing governance and wider actuarial projects. Candidate Profile Qualified Actuary (or qualified by experience) with experience in General Insurance pricing. Strong understanding of Delegated Authority business, MGAs, London Market or Specialty Insurance environments. Proven experience delivering pricing analysis and portfolio management insights. Advanced Excel skills with experience using data and analytical tools such as SQL, Power BI, Python or R. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence commercial decisions. I’m working with a leading London Market insurer looking to appoint an Operations Manager, QA & Processing on a 15–18 month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover. This is a broad operational management role with responsibility for overseeing key processes across the underwriting lifecycle, including policy administration, data entry, data quality and quality assurance. You’ll manage and develop an onshore team while also coordinating an offshore data entry function, ensuring policy data is accurate, complete and available to support business flow, reporting and month/quarter-end requirements. Key responsibilities include: Managing and developing an onshore team of Operations Analysts and coordinating an offshore data entry team. Overseeing policy administration, data entry and data quality processes. Managing operational controls including underwriter authorities, peer reviews, contract certainty, e-placement and QA checks. Working closely with Underwriting and Finance to support month-end and quarter-end processes. Identifying and resolving data, process and system issues and driving improvements. Providing management with analysis and insight around data quality, operational risks and performance. Supporting wider Underwriting Operations projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will have strong Lloyd’s and London Market experience, with a good understanding of underwriting operations, policy processing and associated data requirements. Previous experience managing policy administration activity, QA/data quality processes and people is important, alongside strong stakeholder management and advanced Excel skills. You’ll ideally have 5+ years’ insurance experience, with previous exposure to managing policy administration systems and offshore teams. Experience with React and TypeScript is highly desirable, alongside a strong understanding of how modern digital products should be designed and delivered. You should be comfortable working closely with Product and business stakeholders and understand that successful engineering is not just about the technology, but also about the product, customer journey and overall user experience . Experience within insurance, InsurTech or financial services would be highly advantageous, particularly exposure to digital insurance or eTrading platforms. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and practical exposure to AI-enabled software engineering would also be beneficial.
