I’m currently partnering with a highly regarded and growing Lloyd’s market insurer to recruit a newly qualified accountant into their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone coming from an insurance audit or Lloyd’s market background who is looking to move into a broad, commercially focused role with real exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence change early in their career. The position will cover: • Oversight and review of syndicate and legal entity financial reporting • Quarterly solvency and technical provisions validation processes • Ownership of key reporting and control activities • Supporting external audit relationships • Finance transformation, process improvement and controls enhancement initiatives • Exposure to senior leadership and governance forums The business offers a collaborative and high-performing environment where employees are encouraged to contribute ideas, drive improvements and develop professionally. We are delighted to be partnering with a leading Insurance business to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant for a key hire within their Finance team.  This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with insurance sector experience to join a highly respected organisation operating across multiple international entities and branches. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across financial reporting, reinsurance, taxation, reconciliations and process improvement. Key Responsibilities Ownership of monthend accounting entries relating to inbound underwriting transactions, covering areas such as earned premium recognition, claims movements and fronting activity. Analyse monthly financial results for several entities, reviewing both individual company performance and consolidated group reporting and prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.  Contribute to the year-end reporting cycle through the production of statutory accounts and supporting schedules. Prepare indirect and direct tax returns, including corporate tax and insurance premium tax, across multiple jurisdictions. Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors where required. Manage outward reinsurance administration Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise and digitise finance processes. Build strong relationships with underwriting, claims, actuarial, tax and wider business functions. You must be; ACA / ACCA qualified, or equivalent with 5  years’ relevant experience. Experience in an accounting role within insurance  Reinsurance Accounting experience would be highly desirable Strong Excel experience and an eye for digital automation Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Fantastic communication skills both written and verbal Salary on offer is up to £85k   comprehensive bonus and hybrid working.

IT Finance Analyst - 12 month FTC London (Hybrid)  |  £75,000–£80,000 Arthur Financial have partnered with a leading global insurance firm, who are looking to hire an IT Finance Analyst to support a busy and evolving IT finance function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on with the numbers, taking ownership of forecasting and reporting processes, while also looking for ways to improve and evolve how things are done. The Role Own and support forecasting, budgeting and planning cycles across IT spend Deliver accurate and insightful reporting and analysis Work at a detailed level to understand and control actuals (costs, FTE, etc.) Partner with stakeholders across IT and finance to provide commercial insight Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and data quality Support the ongoing development and embedding of forecasting and reporting models What they’re looking for Strong experience across forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis Comfortable working at a granular / transactional level Proven ability to own BAU processes end-to-end Experience supporting or implementing process improvements or system changes Proactive, curious and motivated with a “roll sleeves up” mindset Strong stakeholder engagement skills Experience with tools such as  TM1, Anaplan, Hyperion or similar  would be beneficial
