Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to lead the finance team. This is a varied role offering exposure to both transactional and month-end accounting responsibilities, including FCA submissions, along with financial planning, forecasting and business partnering activities. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function whilst supporting the wider business with financial insight and operational excellence. Responsibilities; Preparation of year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors, including insurance and reinsurance audits. The production of monthly management accounts, including P&L reporting, variance analysis and ad hoc financial reporting. Financial analysis of investment opportunities (new product launch or acquisitions), managing asset and cost allocations. Reconcile bank accounts, investigate discrepancies and monitor cash balances. Process and reconcile insurance and reinsurance premiums, working closely with brokers, insurers and relevant tax authorities. Oversee the timely receipt, review and reconciliation of Bordereaux (BDX) and remittance data from Managing General Agents (MGAs), coverholders, brokers and delegated underwriting partners. Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring an accurate and timely month-end close. Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow forecasting activities. Prepare and submit VAT returns Manage the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations and payment runs. Issuance and tracking of Notices of Cancellation where necessary. Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing, allocation of receipts and proactive credit control. Producing premium and claim reconciliations. Preparation of financials for FCA submissions for regulatory reporting Recognise and implement finance systems improvements and process optimisation as the business continues to grow. Build strong working relationships with operational teams, brokers, insurers and external stakeholders, providing financial support and insight where required. You must have; Prior experience within an insurance or reinsurance operation. Strong demonstrable experience with preparing both statutory accounts and management accounts. Experience with running transactional day-to-day finance operations including; AP and AR. Able to confidently work independently in dynamic, fact-paced and entrepreneurial environment. An established and high-performing organisation within the Lloyd’s insurance market is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Credit Controller to take responsibility for a significant Delegated Authority portfolio.  Working closely with internal underwriting teams, Lloyd’s Brokers and Coverholders, you will play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of premiums, identifying outstanding balances and driving effective resolution of problem accounts. Take ownership of a sizeable Delegated Authority portfolio, using reporting and analytics to monitor account performance, identify discrepancies and address emerging issues. Manage the end-to-end premium settlement process across key accounts, including premium signings, bordereaux and reconciliation of written versus settled premiums. Build strong relationships with Lloyd’s Brokers and Coverholders, proactively managing outstanding balances, resolving queries and driving timely payment in line with agreed terms. Work closely with Underwriting and internal stakeholders to manage challenging accounts, investigate documentation and data issues, and agree appropriate actions to minimise credit risk. Support the continued development of the Credit Control function through improved reporting, data analytics and the introduction of technology-led solutions. About You A strong working knowledge of the premium settlement cycle for Delegated Authority business within the Lloyd’s market. Good understanding of the Lloyd’s binding authority format, including key terms and conditions from a premium credit control perspective. Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with Brokers, Coverholders and internal underwriting teams. Experience working with the Insurers’ Market Repository (IMR) and maintaining policy documentation and associated settlement information. A leading reputable global Insurer are in the market for a Syndicate Finance Manager to join the business during an exciting and significant period of change across their business model particularly within Finance.  This role will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting and Lloyd's regulatory reporting for their flagship syndicate and will independently manage an experienced team of qualified on-shore syndicate accountants. Responsibilities include;  Collaborate with the Head of Syndicate Accounting & Reporting to establish a strong financial control environment, ensuring controls remain effective, proportionate, and aligned with the needs of the syndicate. Provide leadership and direction to the Syndicate Accounting & Reporting team, supporting individual development, building capability, and creating a strong culture of performance and accountability. Take ownership of the end-to-end syndicate ledger, ensuring the integrity of financial records and the timely and accurate delivery of accounting activities. Deliver insightful financial analysis and management information to support business decision-making, highlighting key performance trends and explaining movements between actual, forecast, and planned results. Lead the relationship with external syndicate auditors, acting as the primary Finance contact, coordinating audit activity, addressing complex queries, and ensuring issues are resolved effectively and within agreed timescales. Establish and embed scalable finance and controllership practices that improve the quality, efficiency, and reliability of financial operations while supporting the changing requirements of the business. Champion continuous improvement across the Finance function by identifying inefficiencies, challenging existing ways of working, and leading initiatives that enhance processes, controls, and overall effectiveness. Act as a Finance adviser and subject matter expert on strategic and operational initiatives, providing specialist guidance on syndicate accounting, financial reporting, and related Finance matters.
